Actor Dhanush’s Asuran, directed by Vetrimaran and produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu’s V Creations was released on October 4 and is running successfully. Also starring Manju Warrier, Ken Karunaas, Teejay, Ammu Abhirami and Prakashraj, the movie is based on the novel Vekkai.
DMK chief MK Stalin had recently watched Asuran in Thoothukudi, and has praised the movie. Calling the movie as a lesson, he Asuran is a bold movie that questions the caste practices and Panjami land rights and sharply questions the casteist people. He also congratulated Dhanush and Vetrimaran for their success.
