DMK to collect relief materials for rain-hit Kerala

DMK is collecting relief materials for people hit by rain and floods in Kerala. In a statement, DMK president M K Stalin has asked public as well as party cadres and leaders to donate rice and other food materials and other food materials and deliver it at Anna Arivalayam, the party headquarters in Chennai.

In the last few days, heavy rain has affected several people in Kerala. A total of 83 have died so far and 60 persons are missing. Nearly 2.5 lakh people have been shifted to flood relief camps. Several people have lost their houses said Stalin.

On Tuesday, the party’s Chennai west district cadres donated rice, biscuits, water cans, sarees and lungis. “Today food and other relief materials collected by the party’s Chennai west district cadres worth Rs 10 lakh was given to our party’s Kerala leaders.

Similarly, in the coming days, we will get relief materials from other party districts,” Stalin told reporters.
He said Kerala leaders have come to Chennai and they will take all the relief items by train.
