Kiran Bedi should not interfere in administration Puducherry’s elected government has full powers: SC

New Delhi, Jul 12:

The Supreme Court has ruled that the Puducherry government, elected by the people, has full powers. It said the Lt Gov. Kiran Bedi should not interfere into the day-to-day administration of the government.

The apex court made the ruling while hearing an appeal field by the centre on the powers of the Lt Governor. The top court also dismissed the appeals filed by Kiran Bedi and the central government. It may be noted that the appeal filed by Kiran Bedi in the Madras High Court earlier was also quashed.
