Yoga is spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, is widely practised for health and relaxation. The aim of yoga is to reach godhead.
Practising yoga on a daily basis will raise our status and keep us happy. Will help to see the almighty inside our mind. Practising yoga helps us gain the power to take clear decisions. Yoga gives us more power and allows sowing of good thoughts only. It enriches our exterior beauty.
It strengthens our confidence.
It helps us to acquire speed in our activities, clarity in speech, majesty in walking etc. though there are many ways to protect our body yoga is the best one. One can lead a disease free life if he practices yoga. It helps body and spiritual development.
Yoga helps in overcoming mental depression which reduces one’s longevity and in improving his skill and talents. All the glands in one’s body will function properly and all the joints in the body will become strong if one practices yoga.
It will enhance the memory power of a man. It was Prime Minister Modi who appealed to the United Nations to declare June 21 as International yoga day with a view to give yoga an international recognition. His proposal was accepted by 177 nations all over the world.
International yoga day is being celebrated from 2015. Even developed countries like China and the United States have accepted yoga. To coordinate with world health organisation to take yoga to the world level is an honour given to India’s ancient culture.
