The Directorate of Government Exams (DGE), Tamil Nadu released the results of Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) which is equivalent to class 12 on April 19, 2019. The TN HSC result 2019 declared, 91.3 per cent pass the examination. Girls’ pass percentage 93.64 and boys pass percentage 88.57%.
A total of 8,69,423 have appeared for the examination and 7,69,225 have passed the examination. Among 45 prisoners who wrote the exam 34 of them cleared it. Tiruppur district stood first with 95.37% pass percentage followed by Erode (95.23%) and Perambalur district (95.15%).
Coimbatore reported a pass percentage of 95.01 % followed by Namakkal 94.97%. The pass percentage of students studying in government schools was 84.76%. 1,281 schools in the state have reported 100% results This year also, girls outperformed boys with 93.64% of them clearing the exam while 88.57% cleared among boys.
The TN HSC result 2019 declared, 91.3 per cent pass the examination. Girls had outperformed boys with 94.1% pass percentage while the pass percentage for boys was 87.7% Subject-wise, the pass percentage is: Maths – 96.25%, Computer Science – 95.27%, Tamil – 94.12%, English – 93.83%, Biology – 93.89% and Chemistry – 94.88%.
All those students who had appeared for the exam can check their results on the official websites — tnresults.nic.in, dge.tn.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in. In case students are unable to view their marks on these websites, they can view at examresults.nic.in.
The facility to apply for the copy of answer scripts and retotalling of marks can be availed from April 22 to 24. The students can visit their respective schools from April 20 to 26 to get their result and mark sheet. It is expected that the TN HSC supplementary examinations will be held from June 6 to 13.
